  • 2018

    Launched the First Real-Time Attestation Reporting System

    • Our co-founders launched the world’s first real-time attestation reporting system to serve a startup stablecoin issuer.

    • This was a big step forward in digital assets transparency and a giant leap for the accounting industry.

    • In a world first, we automated data collection and reporting to deliver CPA attestations in “real-time.”

  • 2019

    First Team of CPAs to Execute an Auditor-Attested Proof of Reserves

    • In 2019, the TNF team was the first to execute a Proof of Reserves engagement, covering the customer liabilities and reserve assets of a top-10 global exchange.

    • Our solution included cryptographic customer verification and provided independence and attest standards to Proof of Reserves, which had been less useful over past examples as they relied on “self-attestation” by the exchange.

    • Today, we continue to lead in this space with refined tools to provide PoR services.

  • 2021

    Developed the Industry’s Most Comprehensive PoR Taxonomy

    • In conjunction with industry leaders, Big4 accounting firms, and legal and policy experts, we developed the Digital Chamber of Commerce’s “Practitioner’s Guide to Proof of Reserves.”

    • The three-pronged framework and terminology represented the most comprehensive source of information on PoR to date.

    • Today, our work continues, and Version 2 (2024) of the Practitioner’s Guide remains the most comprehensive and trusted source for understanding and executing PoRs.

  • 2021

    First Team of CPAs to Bring Reserves Data On-Chain through a Blockchain Oracle Network

    • In conjunction with Chainlink, TNF provided the off-chain reserves (cash and Treasuries) data from a large stablecoin issuer, making that data available for use in smart contracts.

    • TNF’s proprietary service aggregates multi-custodian balances, exposes the balance information via API, and provides a Chainlink Oracle Node to serve data on-chain.

    • Our innovation formed the foundation of the “secure mint” requiring by code a full reserve before additional stablecoins can be minted.

  • 2023

    The Network Firm is Born

    • Our team forged a new path leaving our comfortable position at a Top 20 U.S. Accounting Firm.

    • We were recognized as global leaders in digital asset services and transparency technology, but we had ambitions to do much more.

    Expanded On-Chain Proof of Reserves Services to Real-World Asset (RWA) Tokenizers: Tokenized Real Estate, Gold and Treasuries

    • The first data brought on-chain via Chainlink related to reserves backing a stablecoin.

    • In 2023, we expanded the data available to be brought on chain. Now, our expanded services enable RWA reserve data related to tokenized treasuries, gold and real estate to be brought on chain reliably.

    • The future of RWAs is bright, but on-chain Proof of Reserves transparency services are critical to further development of RWA products.

  • 2024

    Practitioner’s Guide to Proof of Reserves V2 Released

    • Reflecting our ongoing commitment to standards and education regarding reserves transparency, we served as the lead author for the Digital Chamber’s updated Guide.

    • The Guide benefits from further industry consensus and is reorganized to serve the needs of policymakers, regulators, operators, and engineers.
